Even though the Mayor and his appointed chair of the Zoning Advisory Committee officially “cancelled” meetings without the consent of the majority, ZAC members will still meet and discuss proposed changes to the Village of Ballston Spa Zoning code which will be updated for the first time in decades this year.

The Public is welcome to join the ZAC on the first & third Thursday of the month at 7PM at 50 West High Street in the auditorium. See below for details copied from the Village website:

• The ZAC will meet at 50 West High Street in the Cornell Cooperative Extension Auditorium and have the technology equipment reserved for use.

• The ZAC will meet on the first and third Thursdays of each month, unless the group decides to cancel the meeting. Additional meetings will be scheduled for public workshops or presentations.

• The ZAC has the entire Auditorium, unless another group requests to use the “kitchen side”.

• On February 6th the ZAC will meet in the Cornell Room. This room has limited space for public access.

Help us beautify our adopted two-mile stretch of Route 67 West—from the Ballston Spa Village limits to White Road.

When: Saturday, May 10, 2025 • 10am - 11am (approx.)
Where: Saratoga County Social Services Parking Area: 152 West High Street, Ballston Spa

Bring work gloves, sturdy shoes, and bug spray—we’ll provide safety vests, hard hats, and trash bags.

In an era where transgender and gender non-conforming individuals face incredible challenges, it is more crucial than ever to foster understanding, advocacy, and allyship. This program is designed to equip participants with the knowledge, skills, and awareness needed to support the trans & non-binary communities effectively. Through education on gender identity, inclusive language, and actionable advocacy, this program provides practical tools to create safer, more affirming spaces. By addressing the current social and legislative barriers impacting trans lives, we empower allies to take meaningful steps in fostering equity and inclusion. Please register online.

We invite attendance by those who identify as trans, non-binary, gender-non-conforming or questioning, as well as parents, family members and allies.

It’s time to act! Start locally & run for office! Join us on Tuesday 3/11 at 7PM at BACC (20 Malta Ave Ballston Spa,NY) for a FREE workshop “Running for Local Office 101.”

The Milton Democrats are looking for committed residents who would consider running for local office. The Town of Milton will elect a Supervisor and two Council Members this November. The Village of Ballston Spa will elect two Trustees. 

If you have ever thought about how you could make a positive change, come to our workshop “Running for Local Office 101” to be held on Tuesday, March 11th at 7pm at BACC (20 Malta Ave).

Meet with local Democrats who have run for office and been in office. Learn how to organize and run a campaign. Together we can make a difference locally!

Milton Community Canvas

Come out and knock doors in Milton for State Senate Candidate Minita Sanghvi and the Equal Rights Amendment (ERA)!

We will be meeting up in the community room (building #3000) for this event that will be hosted by one of our amazing volunteers. We will have a brief training, and then we will hear from Minita about the issues that matter to her.

This is great way to contribute to our cause and meet like-minding people who desire to improve our community. Talking to our neighbors at their doors is a great way to earn their trust and secure their support. We hope to reach as many as we can with Minita's message as well as gain maximum support for the ERA before election day.
